Kobe Bryant’s NBA Championships

Kobe Bryant is one of the most decorated NBA players of all time. Throughout his 20-year NBA career, he accumulated five championships, 18 All-Star selections, 15 All-NBA selections, 12 All-Defensive selections and a plethora of other awards.

Five Champion Titles

Kobe Bryant won five NBA championships in his 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers:

  • 2000 – 2001 NBA Champions
  • 2001 – 2002 NBA Champions
  • 2008 – 2009 NBA Champions
  • 2009 – 2010 NBA Champions
  • 2010 – 2011 NBA Champions

Kobe Bryant famously helped the Lakers to three consecutive championships between 2000 and 2002. While he was never able to recreate this early success on the court, Kobe continued to remain a key figure on the roster. When the Lakers drafted LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the summer of 2019, the hope was that they could build the team necessary to win his sixth championship crown. Unfortunately, Kobe passed away on January 26, 2020, before this championship team ever took the court.

The Greatest of All Time

While Kobe never won as many championships as some of the greatest players of all time, like Michael Jordan, he nonetheless solidified his place among the very best with his five championships. His accomplishments are further amplified by his status as a global icon. Many professional athletes today pay homage to the legacy of Kobe Bryant and will forever carry with them the memories of the man himself.

Kobe Bryant’s five NBA championships will stand as a reflection of his unparalleled greatness and well-deserved place among the greatest of all time.
